Dottie's World Blog Candy

Its Louise's birthday today on Dotties World and she has reached the grand old age of 35 (her words not mine!!). Happy Birthday Louise. Daring Card Makers Challenge

On DCM, this week's dare was set by Jozza and as its Fireworks week here in the UK she has gone all sparkly - so the brief was lots of bling!! They are sponsored this week by Louise Brigden (the designer of Dottie and George plus a whole host of other fabulous images) and Charmed cards and Crafts (the shop who sell the downloadable images). As it is a sponsored dare this week, they will choose a random winner who will win 2 download collections of their choice or the Dottie and George Christmas download. In addition to this fabulous prize, Karen who owns Charmed Cards and Crafts is going to put together a little something extra from her shop making it 2 prizes up for offer this week so it is going to be well worth taking them up on the dare to be in with a chance to win!

Here is my card. I have used one of the Dottie and George Rock Till You Drop Downloads and have coloured it in using Prisma Pencils. Dottie's skirt has been glittered and I have also added gems. The backing card is just plain holographic card and mirri board with extra large gems added.

QuicKutz Challenge 2 - Christmas

And, here is my attempt.

I have made a Christmas Spring Card. I have used card from my own stash. The background card has been cuttlebugged and peeloffs added. I have used the Santas Sleigh and the Reindeer QuicKutz dies for the top "spring" part and using holly and berries die, added them to the bottom corners.

Dottie's World - Challenge

This week's challenge on Dottie's World was to create something which was to include one or more of the Charmed Download images and to be only 3 main colours. Black, white and one colour of your choice. You can use as many tones of grey and of your chosen colour and you can obviously use a skintone and haircolour but that's it.

I used Chef George and as you can see the other colour of my choice was red. The image was coloured in using Prisma pencils and my own background paper. The cards behind the image were cuttlebugged using the Swiss Dots folder and ribbons and sentiment added to finish off.

My First Challenge

Go along to Dottie's World and you will see the challenge for this week.
The challenge was to make something but not a card so Louise wrote:

"It's my week this week and I fancied a change so here's the challenge;Make something using a Charmed download but IT CAN'T BE A CARD!"

Well I have never done a challenge before so this is a first for me. So I thought I would start off with something easy.

Its a coaster which I have had lying about for ages and did not know what to do with. The picture is one of the Sporting Georges which I have coloured in using prisma pencils.

Well as You Can See There's No Stopping Me!!

Here is another card made today. The background paper is from my own stash. The lime and green card from own stash, cuttlebugged with Swiss Dots and the decoupage from Paper Nation/Jolly Nation. Also own stash of ribbon.

First Card Made Today

I woke pretty early this morning and after walking the dog, decided to make a card. For no-one in particular, but nice to have spare in the house in case my daughter should need one for a friend. The blue flowery background paper is by Dovecraft. The white card was cuttlebugged. The decoupage by Paper Nation/Jolly Nation on top of white card using nestabilities and inked edges. Ribbon and sentiment own stash which were bought quite a while ago and I am not sure where from.
